How can we help?

Step-by-step guides for running a paid Telegram channel or group on MemberBot — create your own membership bot, connect payments (Stripe, PayPal, crypto, M-Pesa & Telegram Stars), build subscription plans, and manage members automatically.

New here? Setting up a Telegram membership bot takes three steps: 1. create your bot with Telegram's BotFather, 2. connect a payment method and create your plans, 3. add the bot to your channel or group — it handles invites, renewals, and removals automatically. Start free and follow the guides below.

Plans & access

Create and edit plans from Telegram

You can create and run your plans without opening the dashboard. Your Telegram account needs to be linked to your login (it already is if you created your bot in one tap) and your role needs the Plans permission. The commands then appear in your bot's / menu.

CREATE A PLAN: /newplan

Name it, for example Monthly VIP.
Write a short description of what members get, or tap Skip.
Send the price in your workspace currency, then pick how long it lasts.
Pick a category, add a new one, or skip. Your storefront groups plans by category.
Tick the channels and groups it unlocks, check the summary, and tap Create.

The bot then gives you the plan's share link, t.me/yourbot?start=plan_123. Anyone who taps it sees the plan with a View & pay button that opens your storefront on it.

CHANGE A PLAN: /myplans

Lists your plans (⏸ means switched off). Tap one to change its name, price, description or category, switch it off or on, or get its share link. Switching a plan off stops new sales; members who already have it keep their access. A new price applies to new purchases.

✅ Weekly VIP · AUD 20for sale
⏸ 1 Month VIP · AUD 50switched off
Only Telegram Stars set up? When you create a plan, the bot tells you if Stars is the only way members can pay, with a link to add M-Pesa, cards or PayPal under Payment Providers.
A team member limited to one category only sees, and can only create, plans in that category.
Changing how long a plan lasts doesn't change subscriptions that are already renewing: each renewal gives the period the member is billed for. To sell a different length, create a new plan and switch the old one off.
