How can we help?

Step-by-step guides for running a paid Telegram channel or group on MemberBot — create your own membership bot, connect payments (Stripe, PayPal, crypto, M-Pesa & Telegram Stars), build subscription plans, and manage members automatically.

New here? Setting up a Telegram membership bot takes three steps: 1. create your bot with Telegram's BotFather, 2. connect a payment method and create your plans, 3. add the bot to your channel or group — it handles invites, renewals, and removals automatically. PayPal — recurring subscriptions, worldwide

PayPal offers recurring subscriptions and works globally. You'll need two values from a LIVE PayPal REST app: your Client ID and Secret.

Payments → PayPal

In the PayPal Developer Dashboard, switch to Live and open Apps & Credentials.
Create (or open) an app and copy its Client ID and Secret.
Paste both into Payments → PayPal and click Save.
Copy the webhook URL from the card and add it in PayPal under your app's Webhooks:
Webhook URL…/webhooks/paypal/123
Warning: Sandbox credentials only work in sandbox mode. Copy your Live Client ID and Secret, or real subscribers can't check out.
Tip: PayPal recurring subscriptions suit finite-duration plans best — set a clear billing cycle so renewals map cleanly to your plan length.
